Many thanks to Pete McTree for his help with the lime 'pruning' job! - Not my spec!

 

An excellent piece of work in bad conditions of on and off sleet. Pete had to keep coming down to warm his hands up and change gloves.

 

Thanks also to Dave and Chris, and not forgetting 18 Stoner (pete) who only called in for a natter and was put to work on the chipper!

This mornings job, Split Ash leaning into a Cedar. I decided that the Ash was probably pretty safe as it had rested in that position some time ago. We put a cable on the ash and tensioned it with the tractor to take some of the tension off to make my cutting easier.

left the cable on for the fell beings as the trunk was split and unpredicable. had a tag line on aswell. did the felling cuts then backed the tractor up letting it go over nice and slowly
