stihl 441

Hi all, new here had an ms441 for 6 months was good in the timber until i went up to 28" and all the anti vibe fell out. it was my frist and last stillh and went for a 390xp:001_cool:to go with 346xp,357xp,372xp,390xp and my old 51 which dad uses when he's on a funny 5mins!!!

P.S. the 390xp takes a 36" bar no problem!

without checking im reasonably certain 28" is over the recommended length anyway.

28 is a huge bar for that saw alright.im running a 20 on mine and she kicks arse BIG time

i run a 25" on my 460 which is the maximum recommended....so the 440 will be 25" at the very most

25" is max on a 441.

Stihl did have a few early models with AV that needed replacing under warranty, might have been one of those??

28" would be fine with skip or semi skip chain.

I prefer the 440 and the 460 ( i own both)- better power to weight. To the point i've just bought a 2nd 440- time to get the drill out and do some more exhaust porting

 

The anti-vibration systems on the latest generation of husky and stihl saws are amazing, however the drive to reduce emissions seems to have reduced the torque as the engines are restricted heavily

rbtree for 1 swears by them....not actually heard a bad thing said about them in fairness
