660 v 395 xp..

i would go with what suits you ...stihl or husky !! I went for the 395 ,like the 66 it will pull a 36" bar all day long but prefere huskys... the 66 is a good saw though,one of my faves whilst i had one but for me i just like husky's more.... fancy a 390 though!!

If the dealer offers you another 441 get the 660 out and cut it in half haha I hate them!!

660 is a saw built for Logging.The use they get in Arb work is nothing compared to burning 20L of gas a day in the Bush.

 

There are few Husky's in use in large felling operations because their big saws are not up to it.

Well I have just got a 390xp and it is a very good saw.

Only good far a 28" bar which may be too small for what you need

My 440 was stolen, they are no longer available, my dealer, who I trust implicitly, reckons the 441's are not great, so I went for a 460.

 

He said the same to me, 3 years ago. I ended up buying one anyway, and I am very glad I did. It replaced a 440 and a 460, and I prefer it to both of them. Over the 3 years its had a proper beating, running up to a 25" bar felling lots of big trees, and its never missed a beat.

But then again you can fell a 70" girth tree with a 28 inch bar if you are cute, and we dont get much over 3' diameter down here, and those that are bigger are very well protected in general.

You may well be able to fell it, but I wouldnt fancy ringing it up.

 

Besides, everyone should have a 90cc saw, they are the dogs danglies.

LOL- I dont know why ady is even considering a baby saw like that- get an 088 with a 48" bar and have done ade:lol:

Thats the stuff. Besides, the 880 will double up as a baby sitter, tea maker, and emergency life raft.
