We had some on trial.

on the good side, easy to handle, store, admisister.

Plus you don't need to get dressed up in loads of spraying ppe.

Not much waste to dispose of.

Not going to 'alarm' landowners.

Only used em this year, so no verdict yet on effectiveness.

'course, on the down side,

you do need to use quite a few of them, espically on bigger stumps.

they aint cheep.

you are going to be getting through a few drill batteries doing all those 13mm holes.

I think if i was doing alot I would consider one of those stihl petrol powered drills.

(drills back in tree work! I thought those days had passed)

Never heard of them before. Looks like a good idea. Do you know how much they are?

The chap did say,but I cant remember, they are available in the BTS shop in Needham Market. What I liked about the idea is the ease of handling, no mixing up/risk of spillage etc, oh and you still require PA1/PA6 to use it. I did ask if the plastic cartridge is bio-degradable, and that is the next stage of development. Apparently (according to the sales guy) many larger rail companies now insist on this product due to its precision of application, you can even treat stumps in a water course safely.
