Just been told today i have been made redundant with immeadiate affect. NO PAY, NO ALLOWANCES...OVER!!!Not a leg to stand on and no work to go to....

How come no pay etc.. Phone acas if i were you if you have a fair ammount of time with the company.

Don't sit there feeling sorry for yourself, look at this as as opportunity to go self employed or seek work with someone else.

 

Sorry that it has happened - never a good time but make good of the chances given!

You can also search through that site to check whether or not it was done legally.

Tbh if I saw an employee had posted on the internet that he was going to leave and set up as s/e, I'd be looking for his replacement asap anyway.

I would suggest that you read the following booklet;

 

Acas - Advisory booklet - Redundancy handling

 

In a redundancy process that conforms to employment law you would have been informed that the process was about to begin and they would be consultation with the employees. It is possible that the have have dismissed you from your post. In the redundancy process it is the post/role and not the person that is no longer need by the organisation. I suggest that you do some research this weekend and go to CAB on Monday morning with all your paper work.
