TR70 branch logger at APF

My background is in the granite trade massive spinning razor sharp discs no guards or ppe just a wee bit of common scence.

I missed that TR70 at the show but it would be great for Gasyfying boilers and for making Biochar to sell for soil improvement ,all we need is to get cash incentives for sequestring carbon it would be a no brainer ,good value for 2.8k Sort of kit you could buy between a few contractors ,any good for kindling ?

The nets of finished product we saw had an awful lot of twigs in along with short, two inch diameter material. Even though the nets were large I do not think you would get much money for them and as someone has already stated, it did not look pretty enough for those that like to see a log stack outside the house and the logs on the fire. Could imagine it would be good for a boiler but would it not burn very quickly being so small?

If the boiler was well built and air tight, the speed of the burn can be controlled by reducing air flow.

looks dangerous to me, no stopping that beast, it would need bits adding to be marketed in this country, the bagged product is fine, i know lots of people with small stoves/chimnea's that would buy small lumps in bags. could do with spitting chip/leaves one way and firewood the other way..

had a hand fed pto chipper on there stand with no stop bar fitted ,the legal requirement is 1200mm from start of hopper to blades

Just took delivery of the SM70 which is the petrol engined version:thumbup: Seems well built and turning willow whips into kindling a treat..

Will try to take some pictures at w'end. The willow really goes thru nicely as it's freshly cut and soft, i put through some lengthes around 2" diamiter and it looks nice once netted up. It'll sell i'm sure of it!!!!
