was well impressed when i invented a hole in the chipbox with a chainsaw for the ladders to poke through.. i wish someone would invent some way of stopping the chip coming through when the ladders aren't in there..

 

Use a flap liek everyone has suggested. A mud flap from the Land rover would do it. all you need to do though is have a piece of cord running around the outside of the sides that you can pull on from the back so it pulls the flap open when you want to put the ladders back in.

My chainsaw refueling idea is a good one. I took the prototype to Stihl and they were very interested for a while but then dropped the idea. I have in safe keeping at my solicitors a confidentiality agreement signed by the technical manager of Stihl UK saying they cannot use the idea without my say so.

 

By the time this comes into use, all saws will have a flux capacitor and run from household waste and banana skins!!

Nice one Ady, but none of them are heavy enough. most only go to 1200 or 1500kgs, and the 1800kgs ones only work at that on level ground.

 

The thing im talking about would need to push 2 tons of chipper up hill or on rough ground. None of the caravan ones will do this.

Idea I use one of those red laser pens to show the customer where the reductions will be . To indicate which branch needs removing . Mind you I cant find the damn thing half the time .

i thought about using one of those, with a small pulley attatched to the working end of a lowering line as some jobs, either the groundie has to flick the line over (not always possible) or you have to climb over to it

I have two great inventions, but, well theres no way I'm telling anyone till I'm a trillionaire.

 

 

BTW not saying your kinetic rope is a crap idea but wasn't there a thread on here ages ago saying they weren't any good?

 

Feel free to correct me because I didnt know what a kinetic rope was then and have never used one.
