Santander

Thought I'd share an experience I've had with these sorry lot.

When I first went to Santander I was thinking of swapping accounts from the Halifax due to some extortionate overdraft charges. When I went in, went in with my Suit on, nice watch and got treated like Royalty and told I'd get the 100 GBP bonus for swapping accounts with them...

Over a Month later, went in today to transfer some money over to my mums accounts at Halifax. At the front desk I got snubbed and a muttered '' Go to the main cashiers to do that '' - despite when I first went in with a suit I got ushered to a nice quiet room to do everything.. maybe its to do with the fact I had my berghaus jacket, jeans and a baseball cap on.

Get to the Cashier counter, '' Sorry Sir all our external transfer facilities are down and have been for some time, we don't know when it'll be back up '' - They failed to mention this when I first signed up with them. Then I get told if I want to move the money all over to the Halifax, I'll be charged for a Telegraph transfer.

One very angry thinking session over with in the street decided b*llocks to it. Went in demanded my money be done by a Cheque, to which they tried to snub me off saying I had to write my own cheque but finally got the Manager involved and got the money payable out to myself. Went back to the Halifax and they fell over themselves to set me up with new savings accounts and the like.

What really angers me in all of this is how some people in the Finance sector, not all obviously but some behave like total utter snobby jumped up guttersnipes. Go in with a suit '' you must be somebody '' but go in from doing jobs in the Garden and the house and they treat you like a bloody leper and the irony of it all is that if they were clued up they'd have clocked the expensive Tag Heuer I was wearing but instead they persisted in talking down to me like I was a lowlife scumbag and trying to fob me off with a load of Bull.

Anyone else had similar fun and games with other Banks or Santander they'd like to share ? Because I'm damn sure I'm not the first one to be looked down upon for what clothes you're wearing.

Mate- they are all jumped up scum who have mistaken wealth with class, and are little more than gold-digging pricks. They are perfectly uited to the dishonest selfish world of greed that is the modern financial world, where money has mistalkenly become a commodity in its own right, and the creation of personal wealth the goal to the detriment of society in general.

They arent worth the stress mate. Pity them as they will rot in hell for eternity for their wrongdoings.

I totally agree with you Tom except I think hell is too good for them, theiving scum, if I could find a way i'd nuke the square mile that is the city.

They'll never help you when actually need it inspite of millions of pounds of taxpayers money being given to them, which as far as I can see has been used purely to improve their balance sheets.

Just my opinion of course:sneaky2:

I know this is from years ago but when I ran a tree company with between 10 and 12 employees, if I went into the bank (dressed in dirty work clothes or smart casual) I was treated with respect and quite often the manager saw that I was in and offered me a coffee in her office and was interested in how we were doing and how we rated their performance. They were always trying to sell us something, keyman cover, life insurance, business insurance, money etc. But as soon as things went bad the shutters came down with a right slam - and that was before I had proposed a rescue plan involving me downsizing my house to release twice the equity required.

Bloodsuckers! The lot of them.

You lot need to get with a decent bank.

Ive never had any probs with mine Lloydstsb, they even saved me a few quid by telling me to stop paying for an overdraft I dont use!

Always hellpfull staff that dont care what I look like and have no problem arranging overdrafts when required etc.

The charges are another matter though:sneaky2:
