All I have a conny topping job on next week  only thing is they are slightly close to a domestic power line. Job is to top them above the actual lines, can someone tell/advise whether I'm gonna get zapped or if its a power off jobby?

Cheers

Domestic LV?

You can touch uninsulated ones together without too much of a problem, and the insulated ones are even better. And it doesnt hurt them that much unless you are dropping sizeable lumps on them....

I wouldnt advise wrapping your ropes round them though, even though it is only LV...

There were a few dropped on this one, including one that hung there straddling 4 wires...The chap i was climbing for stood in the dck of his landy tipper and unhooked it with another branch...

Don't be a prick Tom.

Sorry.:sneaky2:

Max- its doubtful you will get a shutdown that soon. Be VERY VERY careful if they are unisnsulated, or even better walk away until you get a shutdown.

Thats what my last post should have said...
