Has anyone on here tried importing any ready processed firewood in those

1.8m3 stacked pallet crates. If you have, how did it go, were there any pitfalls and how much loose firewood is there in one of those stacked crates. Some of the prices I've been quoted are quite tempting but I'm not brave enough to take the plunge:001_unsure:

The carbon footprint would be massive.

 

I agree, but so is the carbon footprint for every single woodchip that goes into a uk power station whether produced in the uk or imported, but that doesn't seem to worry anyone

Don`t know the full score,but there`s a chap up in the borders bringing in hardwood kiln dried from Germany charging a bloody fortune for them. Friend told me he had a article in one of the local rags telling people that very few local dealers could supply such quailty, failed to mention about carbon foot print
