I get that mate , Problem is for saw operators if it's been drummed in not to waste timber and keep stumps low it's hard not to do it in urban work or other environments .

I thought the photo looked that way, no fibres seemed to pull through but there was a healthy few inches 😉

It looks like you overcut the bottom of your face, turning it effectively into a step cut as the fibres look cut ?

Looks like the middle of the gob has been bored out, leaving only a few inches either side perhaps? That's if it was intentional.
