small claims court is good if you really want to get your money . If it ws 180 i would write a letter asking for payment within 7 days or you are going to use his driveway as a dump - give him a photocopy of how much you pay to dispose of woodchips etc .e.g £30 a load = 6 loads.

cheers arbgirl ill have a look at that.

 

i did a lot of work for him and was ok, on the grapevine ive heard hes owed a lot of money himself, wouldnt mind if he said he was owed and could i wait.

im owed 180 quid from a guy i worked for, i invoiced it two months ago and have been blagged with various excuses etc since. just wondering if anyone has used these debt collection agencies? how much do they charge etc. i know its not a massive amount of money but its mine all the same.

 

 

resend the invoice with £25 admin charges ,& tell them all futures invoices will incure a further £25 admin charge :biggrin:

i personally will try to get my money in a pleasent and polite manor for 2 weeks and then i start to appy pressure , if i still have not had any luck i will pop round and if needs be i will sit in there house all day and night if i have to or quite simply take goods to the value of , recently it was a wood chipper that i took and would not give back untill i had been paid in full

One question did you send the invoice with terms and conditions on it? a mate of mine sent an invoice and he didn't at the time put terms on any invoice. Well long story short took them to the small claims and got told he needed to send an invoice with terms on. 28 days later got paid for a job he did months ago.
