I am fed up ,been completly soaked 4 days this week ,and i mean completly soaked ,its 20 degrees out side and the heating has been workin overtime to keep up with the drying of cloths ,how do you guys manage ?its drivin me round the bend

I hate to state the obvious but why not have several sets of clobber.

i have 2 sets of trousers etc ,over nite aint long enough to dry my strech airs tho

type A stretch airs dry well in front of the gas fire lol , i think my gas fire has been on more this summer than it was last winter

Yes it's unpleasant been wet within the first hour of the day the day and spare shirts in the cab ease the discomfort.Having said that we have had a dry year,driest on record,and compared to the last 2 summers we've got it good.I do think we are a bit soft these days.If you think you are a bit hard done to just think about our forefathers who spent weeks in trenches soaking wet through and a nice case of footrot.They didn't have a nicewarm bath waiting at the end of the day,a pie and mash supper and a pint of real ale to ease their pain.

2 pairs of trousers, one to wear the other 2 dry. I find if they get wet on a monday they are dry by weds morning just hung up inside.

Best to just put on a damp set of chainsaw pants in the morning.

we have hardly had any rain, july was a wee bit rainy but this year has been awesome. Usually i just work with 2 pairs and alternate them on the down stairs dirty radiator. tbh i have a long waterproof jacket and the stretch air type c's dont really let the water in.
