Were Climbers better 15 years ago?

Just jokin too mate it's gotta be right though I think these days we can worry too much about what we can't do on site instead of testing things out or trying new things

Now that I have NPTC's etc I know exactly waht I can't do and when to do it anyway. Old and new combined is a good mix. I am a new school technical climber, but you don't want to see me at work hidden in a back garden!

Why would you play hide-n-seek when you are meant to be working?

Because when I work there is plenty of time left each day for hide and seek!

alot of people take to much of an interest in what others do in this industry. ie there working practices I worked with an 'old school' climber that used to un clip completley when changing over his choice not mine so none of my bussiness.

 

IMO once through your nptcs its down to you to make decisions as a 'qualified' arborist and its down to that person alone and not for others to preach.

You learn once you leave college IMO bit not not saying it's useless going to college you just need to know where the boundry is and I like to push it near the boundry and I know when to stop like rupe said in the middle is best

Straight after you have passed, you know nothing really, you still have to be TOLD what to do and when to do it. You cant "qualify" and just take your own advice and dismantle/fell/do any tree, You have to be mentored threw tree work!!

yeah i do agree i should of maybe been a bit clearer on my post i didnt mean litterally just qualified.
