Does anyone use a Log Spike/Logeroon ?

I noticed at apf that either jones or oregon had the one I use. Mine had stubai or something on the handle. The handle is red and made of metal. I think the long one was £39 at apf. I have a feeling it was swiss made and keeps a point for months we use it for rolling cord and dragging rings about.

I must admit I prefer the slappies that Clarks sell, nice weight in them that helps them into the wood, flat head to tap in a wedge and with the short handle it hangs from a hammer loop on my belt (point rearwards) and doesnt get in the way. The similar offering from Oregon seems too light, doesnt seem to grip in the wood as well, doesnt have a flat head for wedge-tapping, and due to the handle shape doesnt readily go into a hammer-loop. having recently started using these tools, I wonder why I never had them earlier, it really saves on the bending to lift logs.
