New government policies help arbs.

A list of some new environmental policies (and a few others that will help us)that are due to be implemented within the next 6 months.

 

A big drive on using green waste, departments to be set up in waste transfer stations to take commercial green waste and pay in accordance to the weight of green waste only (atm possibly £9-11 per ton.)

 

Duty on fuel to be lowered initially by 50% on fuel ONLY used in the production of green waste ie chainsaws, chippers, hedgetrimmers etc.This will included petrol and diesel but proof of use must be shown quarterly to claim duty back.

 

VAT to be lowered on machinery required/used in the production of green waste.

 

VAT to be removed from all PPE.

 

VAT to be removed from firewood,woodchip,mulch etc sales.

 

LOLER inspections no longer required for PPE, still applies to rigging Equipment.

 

Revised requirements for training in regards to professional users ie no more 5 year recommendation for training.

 

An finally waste carriers/transfer license to be abolished in regards to green waste removal/transporting.
