Heras fencing

no i mean i had 60 dumpy bags full of damp mouldy logs, i then built a bay out of 4 pieces of heras fencing and tipped them all in with the crane, hense why i know a bay holds 60 dumpy bags, not cube, dumpies.

tipped in loose. i had split straight into them and they got mouldy so we built the sides and tipped them in:001_smile:

 

Did the logs lose the mould after tipping out of the dumpy bags?

yes mate, i had started filling the bags before joinging the forum, then once i joined i asked a million questions as you can imagine and i was told they would go mouldy and sure enough they did, with in a month. So tippy tippy and job was a goodin.

I don't know the cost of Heras fencing but I've made cages with pallets on bricks and concrete reinforcing mesh sides. I use wire stays to hold it all in place; you don't need many. Niggles: you need to walk into and out of the cage as you empty it (from one end) and the wire stays can be a pain but stacking logs 8' high is easy and gives you efficient use of ground area.

lol, sorry to disapoint dave, i am a mere member, not even a veteran:blushing: I get my heras fencing for a tenner each second hand, the older steel ones are the best:thumbup1:

HOw do you get on with the saw bench with splitter built in?? Not great i'm presuming seeing you have hydrolic splitter next to it?
