Many thanks to Gerbutt for making this for me.

 

Well chuffed with the finished result!!:thumbup1:

 

I knew he'd made some for a couple of guys on here so decided to PM him. really glad I did. If any of you guys want anything similar, drop him a line.

amazing, wished i'd known about it 4 years ago, tried sourcing wooden ring for my wedding ring but hit walls everywhere... was told it wouldnt last etc etc,

 

ended up with one beaten up to look like wood but made of white gold..

Could you do one from purple heart gerbut?

 

I'll have to check but I'm almost sure I saw some of that where I get my wood hama. What would be a nice contrast for the inner ring? I make them out of two bits of wood, an inner and an outer ring. Tom's was made of Cherry for the inner and Rio Rosewood for the outer.
