Hi vis in tree

Would you consider wearing a hi-vis in the tree a hazard due to it being a distraction to motorists. The reason I'm asking is because I've been told that I have to wear them on the ground on roadside work but not allowed to wear them in the tree for the above reason. Personally I don't think it is a problem being seen in the tree and it is a pain changing in and out of hi-vis all the time. I'd rather wear it all the time for road side work, which is easy when you have a hi-vis T shirt.

I have seen 2 old grannies get by a set of traffic lights, a dozen guys and a jcb just to run into me and my guys working on a rd closure, and yes there wa a big cone jammed under her front bumper. I drove a huge mog about our town for 6 years and folk would try and constantly ram me and walk out infront. I wear cammoflage as much as possible, its much safer i think

Tabbards up a tree no no more hassle than they are worth even on the signing lighting and guarding operators and supervisors course they said they were not necessary for a climber, snagging etc.(but that was 3yr + ago so may have changed)

but T shirts I go with as it helps on those dull days for the climbers helping groundsman to be aware of positioning etc

Most people dont observe the road let alone being distracted by monkeys in dayglo =smash
