Dead moles????????

Over the last couple of weeks I have seen 7 or 8 dead moles, 2 of which were still alive on my yard road, they were in a bad way so I finished them off.

I presume its dew to the drought, we are on bed rock, so the soil is very shallow, I guess all the worms are either dead or deep in cracks in the rock. I imagine moles get most of their water from the worms they eat, so are dehydrating.

Has anyone else noticed this??

So thats one more advantage to the hot weather  (although I do feel a little sorry for the "little gent in his velvet suit, but they make such a mess:thumbdown:)

Has anybody else come across a white mole, I caught 1 in a trap once, showed it to my boss at the time and he chucked it on the fire, found out later that a taxidermist would pay good money for white moles, very rare apparently

Keep your eyes open Dave, could be black and white thong!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You could be on to something here. I found this in my bottom field last night.
