Lifespan of O2O/200T

I have for the last few years clipped my two oh (think about it young guns) to a large Caritool by the O ring in my bungee strop. This has saved loads of hammer to the saw swinging about beneath me as I perform my aerial ballet.

Something to think about when whining that a saw is not built to last.

Loads of bars, chains and sprockets, mind. Triggers O2O!

I use those caritools too, really useful for keeping the saw closeby and saves the ball-ache of turning around to pull it through crotches and whatnot. My small Caritool is still in one piece despite having a lower SWL

If you remove the o' ring on the tool strop and insert a non locking carabiner instead, then it can be clipped to anywhere on your harness. Of course you can still have a caritool in the perfect place for you, but this means that if you are in an awkward spot then anywhere will do, like the ring on the bridge of the harness, this is a good place to keep it short term.

the 020 i am using daily is 9 years old, my new one from last year is still in the box. Clip it in tight like mark says and it wont get wrecked bouncing off the stem. I like that idea Ruoe, i was doing snappy sycamore yesterday and i had to just chuck the saw down between my harness oints infront of me because i didnt want to take my eye off the stick.nice one:thumbup1:

 I've got a little wire gate crab and it works a treat for quickly stowing the saw if you need your hands free. Can even clip it to a small branch temporarally to get it out your way.
