Ball of fluff puts a halt to proceedings.

Frank my fox comment was a double entendre, both about fit lasses and recent events.

No harm meant mate. I know loads of lads on here have got small children, and I would like to reassure them that the chances of fox attack are fairly slim to say the least.

Mods - delete my posts if you see fit.

Thanks.

Excellent photos:thumbup1:

I doubt there are many heartlessness enough buggers out there to not stop on a job like that.

Although if it was 2 day old pidgeon chicks I'm not sure I would feel the same way though.

An I know that is hypocritical and against the law.:blushing:

Not only hypocritical and illegal but also very honest.

What if that baby owl was a baby crow or another excellent animal like a Magpie  would you have stopped the work?

.

Yup. It was on a large estate we do the tree work for and we aren't usually allowed to do any work during nesting periods. Only needed work over footpaths etc. This ash had large amounts of dead over the main half mile walk in the grounds so was checked visually for nests and or bats before the go ahead was given.

Barney was just too well hidden. The estate manager is one of the ground crew on all tree jobs so calling a halt is no hassle at all and luckily on a large estate like this there is always some deadwood or something to go at to fill a day in.

Just noticed this comment and even with my crude sense of humour I feel that it is a bit too much in light of recent events. Being a father of two children I can only imagine the horror and trauma that family is going through. Please can a moderator delete this as I feel it has no place on this thread. Sorry Mark.

Have a larf Frank, Mark did'nt mean anything bad by it.

Too sensitive.

If you read my comment after that one you will see that I know realise it wasn't meant with malice. I just don't think it was needed. Sorry.

Hey honesty is my middle name.

I never lie, unless maybe for self gain, plus sometimes to bring others down and maybe occasionally to big my self up and look hard but apart from that I'm as honest as the day is long.:thumbup1:
