we just run drawbar under chipper then put chipper down although we have a long drawbar and a turntable chipper

It holds plenty chip:thumbup: and is fairly versatile

I would worry about breaking pins if towing off the chipper

we have broken a few until we upgraded and changed design but to tow such a trailer off chipper would be asking for problems IMO

 

Bob how does the trailer run with the huge drawbar? is there a lot of weight on the hitch?

Obviously a fair amount of weight but never been a problem tbh

Certainly picks it up easy and when lifted hitch locks off anyhow.

We have run like this for about 20 yrs and no probs.

iv seen it done with simple box section that slides over the existing drawbar and you just drop a pin in threw the hole on the existing drawbar to fix the longer drawbar in place

my mate had tow hitch on the back of his 10" farmi on a mog for years and pulled an Ifor 16' trailer without any probs for years.

the chipper at work has the system you sugest

it has a big box section frame side fead and a pin type hitch

you will probably fint that it is a gandini chipper , 45 degree feed and a tow post to one side . My only warning would be that they were never type approved for use on the public highway

How about a Greenmech EC150H mounted on the front of tractor and just tow trailer ?? has any one done this.
