Kevwrenn's right get as cheap as you can, I buy bulk and stack them till I need them and no I don't pay that much for them.

I prefer Bob's idea on a shortish standard sling and shorten it. At least it has other uses when not rescuing some unfortunate. A standard 120 sling will do the same with a knot to shorten it, just doesn't look as good.

On my assessment I was criticised for not using the casualties kit to aid the rescue, he was carrying a sling I could have used to help him sit upright, but every day is a school day!

yeah all the stuff i have already will be only a month and a half old too, which puts it well under the 6 months stipulated.

 

so yeah i knew i have some stuff im gonna need to get beforehand, i just wondered what they havent told me about. like i wont buy spikes yet if i dont have to.

just had a look at the kit list. some lads from work just did the course there (its also where i did my ND) and all they took was what was on the list. No problems. you will like it, lots of equine girlies in tight johdpurs!!!!! you will likely be assessed by Jim ??? (cant remember surname) who does some climbing workshops at the shows. great bloke.
