Jam too much??? I can grip my knot and zipline to the deck from 20feet in about 2 seconds??

 

I like it short for close control and when leaning right out on tip reductions and you just need that extra couple of inches, the vt is fairly near my hand for releasing.

 

Yes frank but the vt in your pic is not short .. . im talking about peoples set ups I have seen where there is 3 wraps 2 braids and the karabiner is looking strained by the tention or the euro prussiks that you can just about squeeze a krab through...
