Nothing exciting but here's a few pics from a job we did Friday Evening, Mum works at one of the local Sixth form colleges. Sadly one of the lads there lost his battle with Cancer in February. He was a very brave lad who had so many friends, They asked Mum about planting a tree in his memory.

Obviously being kids money was tight, but being in school grounds it seemed pointless to plant a whip! Once they had bought a tree I offered to plant it for them and roped a mate in who owed a favour, we managed to save them the cost of the stakes and labour charges by doing it on a friday night! Hopefully it'll florish into a nice tree, oh its a native Oak by the way

Nice planting, do you stake high to gaurd against vandalism being in a school?

I prefer low staking as it allows the root ball to move more and stimulate root growth.

Here is a pic of a small selection of the tree stock where I work, in the picture are Laurels, Carpinus, and some large Acers.
