just wondering what you guys think of this tree? as you can see it really close to the house, i lifted it on the house side only about 6/7 years ago. i was thinking about cable bracing the larger limbs over the house but there is not much to brace them back to.

Is it unsound? If it needs bracing then is too close. If its in good condition then it doesn`t need bracing. If you`re not a consultant and are in doubt then get a consultant`s report.

i would not brace that tree, not fond of bracing,

however i would have huge concerns as to the extent of decay on the cuts of the high pruning thats been done house side,

and is there anything needed to be acknowledge in the trunk ribs on the compression side

looks like its trying to make bit of a statement tbh

Thats just force flow Jaime.

there is some torsion in the big one but as i said reduce the bigger three in line with the crown and keep it balanced.

There isnt any creases in the force flows, might be worth checking upper surfaces of heavy limbs for bark delaminations, they may appear to be sunscald if severe.

force flow now thats a new term, i learnt all about stress cones last week with a man with a touch of aggressive turrets, kept shouting at us, wish i could adopt the same effectiveness with such outbursts myself, force flow???
