stihl 362??

any one tried it ?? does it live up to the 361,or is it a heavy old dog as reports i have read say it to be pretty heavy... hows the power and handling A usable saw with power and can be used all day is what im after,have been very happy with my 357 but its coming to the end of its usable life... or just hold out untill husky bring in the 357 replacment! or evan another 357!

I luuurve my 361, an awesome saw, and i had one of the first (it had only been out a few weeks) and its still going strong. ad15 who lives near me has a 362, but when i used it it wasnt run in yet. i think it will be now, and i am going to have another go to see, and will report back. The 362 seemed a little heavier if anything.

very happy with it,,, it is a a bit heavier than the 361,, BUT are you a wus or a man.....

 

power is good, handling is good,,,, just need me some talent....

what';s the weight difference? 500 grams?

I have one but its not fully run in yet, prob its 3rd or fourth tank. My first impressions are, that it has plenty of power although it does slip the clutch a fair bit, seems to bite off more than it can chew if you get my meaning. If you don't push it too hard it will cut fast, I reckon faster than my 357 but only just, there isn't much in it tbh. the clutch slipping is most noticable when using a pushing chain and has been a little annoying at times, but i am hoping that it will improve as it runs in.

 

Weight wise it feels lighter than the 357 (both on 18" bars) although i prefer the profile of the 357, that could just be familiarity tbh though.

The clutch slip sounds a bit naff to say the least tom......something to watch, Do you think they may have got it wrong or that you may have a 'friday afternoon' saw?
