Need to get a tipping body made in south

Hi Need a tipping body made for 2 cu metres with divider. Needs to go on single cab hilux. Anyone know a good place in central south or ones to defo avoid. Dont need names just clues ie area if its bad news. If anyone has a tipping body for hilux would be interested. Transit or ldv bodies are too wide and need too much work to alter.

there was one in west sussex that did custom tipper conversions to all jap trucks but i dont think they are about anymore

you could try Thompsons based in Addington near Croydon.

they dominate the large commercial tipper market (muck shifters, sand and ballast etc) but i'm sure they also make bodies for LAs i.e transits and the like.

 

However probably more cost effective to locate a scrapper and recon the body, if you can find one

I found a company in Tadley Berkshire called boulters . Going to see them in a week will let you know how I get on. Got the vehicle to put the body on. Have accidently bought two may find another used tipper body and create two just for the hell of it. May run two through the winter or sell the other if someone wants it.
