hello all,i was asked yesterday by a client i was doing a loler inspection for if there was a peice of equipment specifically made to carry a climber on the hook of a crane without contaminating theyre climbing rope any ideas guys and gals?

How about a man basket! :001_tongue:

Just use a round sling and mark it up for that purpose, so that its not used for rigging or anything else. :001_smile:

I thought this practice was a bit naughty... as it does not comply with PUWER??

I don't agree by the way and might just of been someone thinking aloud..

Does anyone know if it is in conflict with PUWER?

Had heard of crane driveres refusing to lift persons into a tree/or above the tree to carry out dismantling even though its the safest option in some circumstances...

Riding the ball is legal I believe but it's really up to the operator/crane company.
