Best I can find is groundsel,or any of the senecio species, they thrive on ragwort,and have been used in some countries as a control on same,to some effect.

Maybe they were not so prolific until the ragwort got a hold,as it seems they require it to maintain current levels,but thats just my suposition.

Because I'm good...

 

And because females have quite different makings on the forewings: more dots and no striations.

this dead lump of Birch with Fomes was still standing verticle only a couple of days ago.

 

Had a looksee at what the very soft white rot was like & noticed that since falling over it's already got a new resident taking advantage of a piece of wood that's now providing a different orientation of habitat than it was before it fell.
