Todays and the next months challenge, not pretty but hopefully will reinvigorate.

It should get easier farther along the field when we get away from the bridge which has caused the bank erosion.

No I managed to stand on the roots and reach beneath my feet!

Next go i shall have to get in, a big thorn growing in the middle. water not too deep but I,m not sure about the mud.

I have a gang plank made from scaffold boards with treads screwed to them which I throw across ditches like that whether they're wet or dry. Although you have to keep moving it along, not having to clamber up and down the bank all the time saves a lot of energy. And I'm not working below my feet which is murder on the back.
