ahh. Showing my ignorance. No fixed length. The top of the irons are at the mid point of my calf muscle

 

they are too short dude, ive got some carbon gekos, the wide face in which you leg sits spreads the weight alot, plus they dont have to be done up stupidly tight to stop them moving around, light too

but try befor you buy if its possible..:icon14:

I did swear to start the geckos solved my feet pains but after a good old test i find they still ache on verticle poles for pro longed periods of use not half as bad but a lot easyer on the feet and i dont mind wearing them all day as they are so light....if you can as said try before you buy!

As the others have said conkers as long as possible. In fact get them as long as you can without being uncomfy when you bend your leg!

 

I have kleins but got extra long special from america. I could have managed with standard but they would have cut off circulation as they would have been strapped round the calf- not good!
