business via websites?

Recommended Posts

Anonymity is relevant. No doubt you could be identified with a few phone calls, but thats not the point. It's about sharing and progressing , not hiding. If I had a website, trust me, I'd post it everywhere for the search engines to find. Free advertising never hurts :)

My first attempt is on my postings.

Needs updating now, was a proper learner when I did it, no experience of web design, if you notice the background on the homepage is an electronics one

I find sharing info the way forward in this industry, hence the get together. You could find that if you keep everything to yourself, you could find that you have been doing something that is dambed dangerous without knowing it.

IMO sharing info and getting together for climbing, chatting days is vital.

And a bigup on Steve for such as this website, I have learnt more on here in one month than I would have learnt in two years.

Well done Steve:icon14:

Ive only had my site up and running for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say its been more successful than I expected. The main reason I wanted one is its cheaper than producing brochures, and you can update details as and when you want. I dont see it as an issue having others see what you do, surely that is the whole point of a site.

ive had more work from my website than yellow pages

Same here I've allways found websites to be a good marketing tool. Many professional people google for services and thats that.

It's worth being on Yell.com i think small outlay and they put a huge ammount into marketing the website.
