IMO for 3-400 stumps at 30" so 400 stumps thats £12.000? you guys want £30.000? so im saying that for the amount of stumps on site with a large machine you could get alot of stumps cleared per day being grinded. Also he mentioned they were only larch type stuff which chips so quickly too. So i thought about it and thought for volume, time, chip rate per day that £1 per inch min would be a starting point for him.

No one is going to pay £12K for that!!

You would just get a big mulcher in and get it done for under £2k.

although if you did get the grinding for 2.50 per inch £30k take most the year off?

P.S i would never do arb sites for less than £2.50.:laugh1: Just read the post and did some quick maths. I would also charge more if it was a bit boggy too.

douglas roots arent deep, a big mulcher will go a foot easy below ground level . grinding 400 stumps will loeave a huge amount od chip and kill most machines, a mulcher mixes it with soil and you can landscape it after

i had a big mulcher & that wouldnt go down a ft ? & never seen 1, since go that deep
