Hi all just had pay review at work they class arborists as semi skilled craftsman ( along with grass cutters etc) and not skilled, what are your thoughts on this i believe we are skilled.

Sounds familiar. When I was an AA Patrol, about 100 of us were told we were classed as "semi-skilled", and for insurance purposes - "professional drivers." You could have heard a pin drop in that room! Bloody insult considering the hoops they make you jump through to get the job.

it takes great skill emptying those grass catcher baskets into a black bin bag mate.....:001_smile:

Not dissing grass cutters at all, Those bin bags can be real fiddly to open, Even as a skilled arborist i once in a blue moon try to open the wrong end,
