The Wifes got 4 days off this coming weekend and wants to go away for the weekend without the kids.

I would rather take car to a country hotel or B&B where theres a nice country pub and travel out each morning to see the sights etc.

Problem is where do we go. Been trawling the internet and can't come up with owt.

I hear West Yorks is nice this time of year:proud:

Shes looked at that hotel by the eye, it comes up on searches.

If we can take the car, I may consider it, may ring them tomorrow or Monday and find out the score.

Did you park in their car park.

I think the hotel was a travel Inn,very nive though. Parked the car for 3 days just down the road (a few hundred yards away) If did cost abit but didn't fancy being blown-up on the tube!

I'd go to London, whats more I'd leave the motor at home and go on the train, ok we are only 1.5hrs away on the train from here but its so easy and relatively cheap. We go on the first train after commuter time, its about 9am. Once in London if you Hotel is fairly central you don't need much public trasnport.

We allways get a taxi from St pancras to hotel then walk to most attractions also use the big bus company open top buses to get about. I'd never consider driving into London for a weekend break its hassle, expensive and your wasting time you could be spending doing something far more fun!

I'd head to the Lakes/Peaks instead. Fresh air and beautiful views do more for me than cities.

I'm with you on that Mister tree. Can't stand cities, too many crowds and buildings!

When I go away with the missues and dog we get a self cattering cottage in some quite part of the country and do lot's of dog walking!

That's my idea of a holiday, not getting stressed in a city.
