Im qiute chuffed with myself today, massive old lime has to be one of the biggest in the u.k. heavily colonised with misletoe, a small panic ganoderma bracket in a vien of dysfunction, from iether a lightning strike many moons ago or a coelescence of two wounds on the lowest portion of a main stem right one in first photo.

 

The cable that was installed had tightened up, enough for me to walk it to the other half of this huge reduction, slackened off just right after the load was taken off. It now allows a bit of movement again so the tree reacts to the movement as it should.

 

The tree was once mesured at 32 metres, but had retrenched a little and after my work now stands at 25 metres with equal spread too! A truly magnificent tree that was a real pleasure and privelage to work on, so thanks Ben, shall look forward to the ash tree next!

 

Completed in 5 hrs, reckon thats prety good for an old timer!

that is one big tree hama good job , and of course it was in no way done at this time of year to make a buck or two out of the misletoe im sure bet you had the local florists queing at the gates !lol
