so why the works to the above tree, well I found a degraded meripilus bracket (just one frond) in the inspection, a small forming (suspected Ganoderma) bracket within a stem union, and some Pleurotus ostreatus fruiting from two old pruning wounds, only significant because they indicate the extent and area of dysfunction within the main union and heartwood regions.

There was a few natural braces forming, these have been left to do thier thing as nature intended, this is a phenomina often seen in beeches that have not been txt book thinned.:001_smile:

Dont let them kid you, crossing branches are GOOD!

there was an old healed hazard beam in a vertical limb, and a banana crack in another, all the evidence that tells us the leverages are all at the very limits, and perfect justification for reduction.

another tree with critical decay fungi, retained, it can and IS being done, you just have to believe, study the old growth and have faith.

This is NOT one of mine! I drove into an affluent area for my days work, to see a particular gang of "arbs":blushing: for want of a better name, had been doing the rounds.

What hope have the rest of us got when people hire the same guys that are doing THIS on their own doorstep? There was 20 plus properties in this little rd who had been "serviced" by these guys, go figure!

This first tree is the worst ive ever seen, im sick of this, please all those looking for an arborist ask to see some of their work, and please please avoid these diabolical operators.

just off Ledborough lane, Beaconsfield, for those who might know who they are. And if this is YOUR work, sign on and/or re train.:sneaky2:
