In many ways this is why I prefer my desk job to my climbing job. I can inspect hundreds and hundreds of trees, specify that no work is done to any of them, and still get paid.

Mostly planning, but I don't spec much work when I do hazard assessments either. I have a light touch. Its a very different situation to speccing contracting work!

Not brilliant, almost nothing decent to work from or to. Customer was pleaseda though. No before shots but imagine a scruffy topped beech with spindly growth and no anchor point.

No, your wrong, very very wrong.

 

I am objective about my recommendations regarding structural faults, if you was too you would be speccing work.

It was an arse of a climb. The highest anchor point was 2/3rds up on the side of the tree. Anything else as decent was at least a metre lower! Everything was spindly and tiny and snappy, lots of dead twigs that find their way under my visor.
