Just passed my IRATA level 1 today

Hi all I have just finished a great fun week doing my IRATA level one .

it sure has been an action packed week . Its been an interesting week leaning whole new way of climbing with all those jammers and shunts .

Really enjoyed the course hoping it may lead on to some interesting work

climbing different structure's and places .

When you are working, are the rules that you must have another IRATA qualified person with you for aerial rescue?

Hi there the rules for a level 1 IRATA is that I have to work under the supervision a level 3 IRATA on site at all times so if a rescue was needed a level one could do it as there would be a level 3 on site .

I finished my level one last week (not IRATA but FISAT, the german rope access organisation).

I hope i could finish my level two in a few month.

Out of interest, How long was the course and how much did it cost.?

Good on you mate. Have you got any jobs lined up or are you just getting qualified first?

HI the course is 5 days long including the assessment .

The cost was £670 but this will vary depending on training center but this is average .

 

I did mine as wanted to add another string to my bow to give me extra opportunities with the hope of some extra sub work every now and then . It can be used for things like shrub clearance cliff clearance but there are many different types of work rope access is used in . Having the chainsaw tickets is helpful as it gives you a skill with your level one
