I also looked at TW and the salesman seemed a bit clueless- I knew more about the machine than he did and I’d never seen a 230 in the flesh. Quoted me a price a couple of k higher than on their website - then asked me where I had seen that price 🤣

And spare wheel with mounting bracket at 450.00 I thought was a joke too

No sowing bitch seeds until we get the Greenmech goss.

Nowt to say. I left for other reasons but was happy enough with the majority of the folk i worked with, was previously an owner of two of the brand and wish the staff at Greenfab well. It is hard not to get bitter and twisted after all that happened (or didn't) during my 27 years there and I'll always look over that fence too. But, my time there is done.

Jensen (the factory) have always been awkward to deal with. This current patch of difficulties is not helpful for those who want to buy them or are already an owner or dealer.

Every brand has its idiosyncrasies, as does every dealer/supplier. Hint....if you buy a machine and have issues, call the sales bloke. He had your commission and wants your next order, if he is any good, he will move heaven and hell to sort your issues. If he has any spine, he will 'sell' his own product/organisation without slagging off his opponents or their wares.....

I think the lecture ends here.

I thought that they went in to Admin as a co owner wanted out. A new owner was found but yes, supply has been hit and miss at best. I heard that Field and Forest had a delivery postponed from February to November over supply issues and the main rep has gone across to Groundcare as he was tired of dealing with the poor situation etc....good luck to them, decent machine but poorly supported from the manufacturers.

Any one think that the taking the worst bits of a jenson and combining it with their worst bits and making a Forst had anything to do with the decline ?

Well I think people can vote with their pocket. Imo the Jensen was a better machine and had always been well regarded. The forst although similar was cheaper but came with the added bonus of more breakdowns, could I say a Citroen Vs a Mercedes, would that be a good comparison? Mind you I haven't used any recent Jensens.

Wasn’t my most enjoyable day/week but I’m still here 👍

MRI booked this coming Saturday. So far it’s just been a whole load of medication and dietary changes

I wish you all the best, and can assure you that it's possible to carry on after such things. Mind you, they did open me up and stick five new bits of piping in that they salvaged from my leg. The good news is that they sent me out with a ten year unlimited mileage warranty. 🙂
