Hi to all, am new here.

Can anyone tell me all the differences between these two saws.

They seem close in power, do they use the same size chassis.

Do they use the same size clutch, carb, and airfilter setup.

Which one would you chose of the two.

Am looking for a saw to do some firewood, cut branches back around the house

and take care of fallen trees.

There seems to be a big difference in price between these two saws, wonder if it is justified.

I wouldn’t choose either, the 4 series saws are not the best, however the 435 gets .325 chain as opposed to 3/8 hobby , they are both composite crankcase and clam shell design, they share many components, do yourself a favour and get a 545.

Too heavy for my needs. Thinking about the Echo CS4310 with the 13 inch bar, would be enough for me, anyone know if it will pull a 15 inch bar.

Want to stick with one saw plan, I have a couple of smaller saws that are clam shells, and had no trounle with them, a Cs352 that I removed the car from, it is way better now, and a MS251 that has been passed on to me, it did no work with its previous owner, I wast to seell it as I dont like it, too heavy for its power, the ocd in me hates so much about it too, cleaning it nearly caused me to melt down, there was a half a pund of dirt in behind the plastic plate that covers the clutch side casing, the fact dirt got behind that is more than difficult to comprehend, same on the easy start side, there is another plastic cover that stores up dirt by the pound inside the starter housing, the echo two minutes with an airline and its clean, the stinl two hours with a screwdriver then the airline, what a crap design..

I had a couple of CS501 saws, liked them ok, they buzzid in my hands and that I did not like, they are 1 kg lighter than the 621 echo, I lifted the two in a shop at the weekend, first time I handled the 621, it feels good, others keep saying its a clumbsy saw, dam the bit of it.

Anyway, I need a smallre saw to do firewood when I get it for free, otherwise its not worth the effort, my wonky elbows do not like weitht.

From memory, the Husqy 435 and 440 are near enough the same saw, the 440 is just a bit higher tuned.

I had one, think it was the 435. It was fine, fairly plasticy as you would expect. Got replaced by battery saws which was a big improvement.
