Honest opinion here.  I haven’t seen one in the flesh but initial observations.

The zig zag bit on a zig zag was renowned for breaking.  Making it midline attachable means there is half as much material there.  Would that be strong enough or have decent longevity?

The red bit looks too big and bulky.  I fail to see why it would need to be that size, unless there is something I am missing.

If there is some form or Chanel in there to kink the rope to make it operational in SRT why couldn’t they have done it similar to the HH and HH2?

The swivel is a fix for a problem that I have never had.  Tried a swivel years ago and took it off my bridge after a week or something like that.  Maybe I have just got used to climbing g the way I climb but I doubt I would ever by a swivel for that purpose again.  Given the option I would remove it.

It isn’t perfect but I would rate the RRpro as one of the best devises.  Slim, compact and works excellent on single line.  Works decent enough on doubled rope.

Ok, the RRPro isn’t perfect on doubled rope but I use it so irately it is t an issue to me.  My doubled rope use is limited to geting a top anchor in a small tree and leaning around for pruning.  Even then I often set the li e to single.

Who cares about the ‘aerial rescue aspect’ of a device ffs?

That’s what a fig 8 is for.

Hopefully this will work really, really well on it’s own without a wrench for the 95% of climbers who way less than 100kg.

Well personally I do. It's nice being able to teach/refresh aerial rescue knowing you're not exceeding the WLL of your kit.

The amount of PPE items that put "single user" as their WLL despite meeting the testing criteria for way more is frustrating and lazy, in my opinion

Rich, if I asked you to climb a decent sized tree with the RRP on "ddrt" you'd tell me to jog on.

Great SRS device but not designed with MRS in mind at all.

From the comparisons I've seen the body and links look pretty much identical in size to the ZZ.

I'll wait a year before buying one though. Let the keen kids do the product testing for me.

Excess number of biner holes and detachable swivels. No. Too much fannying shite. No.

On mature reflection, this is the shittest bit. What happens when the swivel is lost and the device ends up in the hands of someone who doesn't know it needs a swivel? Which hole are they going to clip into instead? 1, 2 or 3? Will it work? Or worse, will it work for a bit?

It's just so unnecessarily easy to use wrongly. Gear needs to be as idiot proof as possible. Even if it works SRT and DRT like it should, anyone buying for employees isn't going to risk it.

More fuycking clutter in the world. Can somebody not just make something really good with nothing wrong with it.

The swivel is a replaceable part - you really don’t like this do you?

like hating your morning wood before it arrives- might be more than you think….

When you did your tree climbing/ aerial rescue course were you not taught the importance of understanding the manufacturer's guidance?

You could make something completely idiot proof. The universe would just create a better idiot.

Of course I would.  You know I climb. Predominantly on SRT.

In the same way, if you asked me to go from London to Newcastle I would get the train and not go by horse back.

I try and use the most efficient method available.  Why make things harder, none of us  are getting any younger.

No no. I was delighted to see it at first. Then deliberately open minded. And now I'm settling in to the grim realisation that it's just more tat. I don't even care that much about climbing stuff. But I do care about people missing open goals and filling the world with clutter. We don't need more things that nearly work, or that work if you've been careful about other things. We need things that (as close as possible) can't go wrong. This thing has a bit you'll lose and a load of ways to clip it up wrong.

I just want the best for us, darling.

but the main links are only one sided to allow the rope installation.

Hence my comment of only half the material.
