Was only talking to arb kit supplier I use the other day about all round protection, and I asked if anyone made trousers like the old SIP ones which had protection at the back but only below knee.

He said no. They were great.

Only ever use all round protection ...I've never had a a hit with a saw touch wood,

If you don't have full protection...what's the point of wearing ppl?

Do you wear a chainsaw jacket as well?

And a johnny?

And don’t forget this Mark, you would feel naked and unprotected without it.

I don’t mind all round protection in the winter, but they’re too hot in the summer.

I’d rather just not put myself in a position where I could cut the BACK of my leg.

When I am cutting/climbing, I can’t think of any part of my body that is less likely to come into contact with the saw than the back of my legs and my feet.

One of the lads I employed in the late 80s was cutting by his feet and caught the trousers, the chain  dragged the protection round and the chain and bar the other way and cut his calf, seemed a bit strange but that's what he said.
