How deep will they scan a tree?

i think this cheap ones only supposed to scan 6-8" in the soil but weve found old wire fencing and nails embedded in trunks about 12-18" in. - saved the saw a few times on old field tree jobs

I can be of no help whatsoever I'm afraid Darrin.

My only real experience of metal detectors was on the beach at Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk on family holidays as a nipper.

People would be combing the beach with them after the crowds had left.

Me and my brothers used to push a 1/2p coin into a dog turd with a stick, bury it in the sand then laugh our heads off when they dug it up with their hands.
