That one is 94mm, 33kN

This DMM is 95mm, 24kN

Compact connections. The PerfectO is a compact true oval connector that minimises the eye-to-eye length...

94, 95 doesn't sound very short, does it. How long is a regular 3-action? All my kit is out in the shed and I'm comfy I'm afraid. Anyone got one nearby?

First thing that springs to my mind are rescue quickdraws like these:

Sometimes you need to cram more pieces into a short space.  2x94mm is significantly shorter than 2x120mm, I suppose.

Sometimes midgets need rescuing too...

Other applications as well, probably. But I agree... why?

Question still stands though Doug, why specifically do we want the shortest biner?

Obviously there's a need for them, or they wouldn't make them, and elfie OP wouldn't be asking for one. But still... why do we need to shave 15-25mm off a connection?

Just making conversation on this bank holiday Monday, no climbing for me today.

Maybe the op has little hands and finds it awkward to action the common sized biners.

I find the DMM styles in your pic are fine but a Big Dan is a challenge one handed.

Definitely possible with a name like Elfie.

And yeah, the big ones can be a wrestle, especially if you're not in a good position as such.
