Nice wee vid steve. Looks like a lovely site mate. Was it for a pipeline did you say?

I am back on a job i did a month on last year clearing out non oaks from ancient woodland near falmouth for a month starting next week- your vid means i cant wait to get back to straight felling. Nice.

Which wood Tommer?

I used to work for the Cornwall wildlife trust, and spent quite alot of time clearing beech from Devichoice (wrong spelling, and i can not remember how it is spelt) woods

Nice wee vids Stevie, thanks for taking the time :thumbup1:

Any agaricy type fung knocking about under foot?

d'ya reckon that might of been big Andy C on his quad & trailer @ 07:00 min 2nd vid, sneaking off in the back ground after spying on ya to see how it's properly done? :001_tongue:

Not sure what to say about "tripod in the wood", reckon ya may need to go to a different forum for that type of advise. Maybe bigboysdowood.com :001_tongue:

Oh yeah, if you do get a decent head cam, & we get a bit more clarity, ya might wanna change that petzl for a felling lid :sneaky2:

i have seen the goila pod before, but i dont think it will fit a camera phone.

Monkeyd, i didnt think there was a problem with a petzl lid for felling, surely it cant only be for climbing?

i have another vid but its 12 mins long and utube wont take it, and i dont know how to shorten it, any tips?

Stevie, I'm only joshin' with ya. :001_smile:

But my sarcasm is around the lack of visor/peak on the petzl compared with the "sun peak" on the likes of the pro Husqvarna ground type lid.

My impression is that these extended peaks are not just for glare protection but also act as a further defence from verticle kick back.

I may not be entirely right on the last point though, so if wrong, except my heartfelt deepest appologies :blushing::biggrin:
