Hi All - I made myself a brilliant air cannon with 32mm PVC pipe.

It easily fires a 340g bag 25-30 metres into the air with only around 35-45psi. Refills with a standard car valve.

The actuating valve is also a full-bore 32mm, which cost a bit more to get, but well worth it.

I'm so chuffed with it, that now I'm wondering if maybe there's a market to make these - or perhaps put together a kit that includes everything for you to construct it yourself.

It's not just a straight pipe design like you normally see. It's a bit fancier than that.

My first question is - what would you be willing to pay for one?

What's the legal position of those air blaster things down the tyre shop?.

As one would presume you could just pop a section of drain pipe on it and bang goes the Duracell bunny.

Its been done . Any workshop with a compressor and an air line . Done it my self back in the day . Brazed the screw on tip from an air line gun onto a bit of stainless tube . Made a dart out of a small paint brush handle with a spike on the fat end . Two rolls of insulation tape around the shank to form a seal . One squeeze of the trigger for half a second and you got a very fast projectile sticking in a plaster board wall . I was only 16 years old in my defense .
