Repairing bent or broken links on an Oregon "21" (72 links - [don't ask why its a 21!]) semi chisel chain

I have managed to mildly mis align three of these and take out a complete half axle on four Oregons  that still have lots of life

Anyone able to recommend a local chainsaw doctor (or indeed forester) in the Oxford area   I am told that local Garden centres provide this service but I am somewhat wary of such chaps having twice been mislead by the so called engineers I find at such places

I am in OX1

It looks like it was hit very hard to break a cutter, the other cutter in view is too blunt to cut.

It reminds me of using steel wedges to assist getting a trapped saw out when the tree sat back ☹️.

Should be easy to make 3 good chains out of 4 with 6 presets and tie straps.

It looks full chisel in the picture

Chains should only ever be in wood . Be more careful ! 🙂 21 is the chain type .

Just go to a garden machinery dealer, most will be able to repair your chains for you unless you have your own breaking and mending kit. Its an easy job if you have the right ties and straps. Im nowhere near oxford so can't help with that.

What did you hit?

The chain came off within the saw because I had not put it on properly and as it fell apart it hit the saw. It pains me to admit this but as George Washinton said.....
